Human Machine Interface (HMI)

M-view

The M-View software module provides a powerful and portable diagnostic tool that can be used with the Montronix series of Spectra™ controllers. M-View operates on any computer running a Windows® operating system.

M-View software is typically used by technicians or process analysts involved in setting up monitoring systems or analyzing information about a process. M-View can be used to evaluate tooling performance, machine loading, quality implications associated with modifying machine parameters (speed and feed-rates), or other instances where real-time information is desired. Changes in a process can be immediately evaluated to determine the affect on the overall productivity or quality. All information may be stored and analyzed as desired.

M-View visually displays process information provided from a process by the sensors and controller. This information may be used to determine limits, process variation, statistical trending, and many other features of the Spectra™ monitoring system as it applies to each unique application. Information gathered using M-View can be stored on the computer and transferred or analyzed at a later time as required. A Network version of M-View is also available and is discussed in this section.

The M-View Software Module has the following features:

  • 2-D Color representation of the process.
    • Visual and color comparison of taught to actual process cycle
  • Real-time process visualization indicating time and % magnitude of each monitored parameter
  • Multiple process profile windows for comparison of processes
  • Graphical trending of each process
  • Time and date recording for each cycle of a process
  • Status Indication
    • Error messages
    • Time/date file information
  • Summary information indicating
    • Station (& workpiece if appropriate) monitored
    • Process monitored
    • Limit number and a comparison of limit set-point to the actual for each cycle
    • DSP algorithm applied to monitoring parameter
  • Language support for English, German, French, and Italian
