The SPECTRA™ PCI solution is designed specifically for machines using open-architecture controls.
The SPECTRA™ PCI plug-in card is the center of your process monitoring system. Depending on the configuration, it is possible to connect up to eight analogue sensors to the up to two measuring input modules. Via the Profibus- or the Interbus modules, the Spectra can analyze another eight digital input signals. The control communication between the CNC/PLC controller and the Spectra unit can be operated by these bus systems. In addition to this, it is also possible to realize the CNC/PLC – SPECTRA™ communication via a CNC I/O module, which uses 24VDC inputs and relay outputs. For process visualization, the SPECTRA™ needs to be connected via Ethernet or a serial link to a PC based control or operating unit.
The SPECTRA™ PCI system is also available as external “box”-solution or as SPECTRA™ Vision, an industrial PC featuring a touch-panel and an integrated SPECTRA™ PCI board.
Application (depending on hardware configuration)
Process monitoring:
Tool monitoring (Tool breakage, Missing tool, Worn tool), Collision and overload detection, Gap-Elimination, Quality monitoring
With additional Sensors also measurement of:
vibration and acoustic emission, power, force, torque, bending, as well as sensorless Digital Drive Data for the detection of process faults.
Machine type
e.g: Machine tools, robots, handling systems, machining centres and other industrial applications.
Spectra™ Pulse is a complete miniature monitoring system using micro-electronic-mechanical-systems, or MEMS technology. MEMS technology increases the affordability, functionality, and performance in a small and reliable package. Montronix utilizes accelerometer-based MEMS technology to provide a 3-dimensional monitoring solution that may be reprogrammed with various algorithms to provide solutions based on changing requirements.

| The SPECTRA™ Battery Net Box is designed for the wireless connection of a SPECTRA™ Pulse sensor and any PC. The wireless communication is a Peer-to-Peer link and will be defined via a configuration interface. A battery allows independent measurements and analysis possibilities up to 5 hours. The range of 30 to 100 meters (32.80 to 109.36 yd) in the industrial environments allows to work comfortable even on big machines, gantries, or other large systems. In a Microsoft™ Windows™ environment the SPECTRA™ Battery Net Box can be connected just as easy as any other wireless device. It is also possible to connect the M8 power supply connector to a regular DC 24 V distributor device for machine outputs. Thereby the SPECTRA™ Battery Net Box is usable also for long time monitoring and process optimisation tasks (in combination with a laptop), or the integrated logbook function of the sensor can be used. The Battery Net Box can be used also for the connection to other devices like e.g. to the SPECTRA™ process monitoring units or to a second SPECTRA™ Pulse (signals only, no LED display). For that a suitable external adapter is necessary. |
